In a Sunday afternoon announcement, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine told residents that he would take executive action to change the state’s unemployment law to facilitate social distancing, for which he has advocated.
To assist #Ohio workers directly impacted by the #COVID19 health emergency, I will issue an executive order that makes several changes to Ohio’s unemployment law and state agency policy. #COVID19OhioReady

Additionally, Ohio restaurants and bars are shuttering their doors indefinitely, per another Sunday afternoon mandate by Republican Governor Mike DeWine.
We will be issuing an order closing all bars and restaurants in #Ohio beginning at 9:00 tonight.

DeWine encouraged carryout and delivery as alternative options to eating out, telling residents, “This is not a drill.”
