Joey Correnti IV, chairman of the Carbon County Wyoming Republican Party, gives an update on the growing momentum to censure Liz Cheney for her impeachment vote.
“Nearly half the counties in Wyoming have picked it up and ran with it,†Correnti said, most calling for her censure and removal from office by near unanimous votes. “Every county that’s had an opportunity to hear it on the floor has passed it by a large margin.â€
Carbon County’s initial move to hold Cheney accountable has spread to other states, as two counties in Kentucky have censured Mitch McConnell for smearing President Trump and the deplorables as a “mob.â€
The State Central Committee of the Wyoming Republican Party will take up the issue on Saturday, February 6 in Rawlins at the Jeffrey Memorial Community Center at 9 am. The meeting is open to the public.
