Raheem Kassam walks through new details revealing the Capitol was not protected on January 6 because of the military and media establishment.
A new report in the Washington Post shows it was actually President Trump’s acting defense secretary who wanted to send in the National Guard. Instead, Pentagon officials were afraid of the “optics” and did nothing.
“The reason they were fearful of the optics is because of what happened at Lafayette Square,” Kassam said. “When the media heavily criticized the National guard being deployed to protect the White House.”
This was an “establishment and a media caused situation,” he said.
