The Ultimate Sacrifice
Chief Warrant Officer and Gold Star Husband Joe Kent, now running for Congress in Washington’s third district, gives a touching tribute to the many friends and mentors he lost while serving 11 tours in combat.
“As the years went on, unfortunately the losses kept coming,†he said.
Kent also lost his wife, Shannon Kent, who used her immense intelligence and communications skill with special operations to hunt terrorists.
“Shannon Kent was killed fighting ISIS in 2019,†he said. “Shannon is a true American hero, she enlisted in the US Navy right after 9/11, she’s from an amazing family. Her father and her uncle were responders to Ground Zero, that inspired Shannon and her brother, still active duty in the Marine Corps, to say, ‘Send me.’â€

Joe Kent vs. The Deep State
Joe Kent reveals what motivated him is run for Congress.
“My wife was killed one month after President Trump tried to get our troops out of Syria the first time because we had actually met our military objective,†Kent said.
“To see the deep state and establishment really turn on him to keep us at war, motivated me to start speaking out and getting into politics,†he said.
Then after seeing what happened with the authoritarian lock downs, and the fraud in the election, Kent said he had to do something so he can look his boys in the eye and say, “This is the country your mother gave her life for.â€
“This is my continuation of the oath I took 23 years ago,†Kent said.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier’s Perilous Trip Across the Ocean
Patrick K. O’Donnell explains how the tomb of the tomb of the unknown soldier traveled from France to America, and was almost lost at sea on the USS Olympia.
“The casket was on top of the ship as it went across the ocean and hit a storm,†he said. “And it almost went overboard. But the Marines that were on that ship literally latched themselves to the casket and prevented it from happening.â€
The ceremony in 1921 was a “who’s who in America,†and honored all who served in World War I, and the prior wars.

End the Endless Wars
Joe Kent says the first thing he would do in Washington is end the endless wars, and calls for a global war on terror monument on the national mall.
“It’s absolutely incumbent that we end the endless wars,†he said.
Kent argues for the repeal of the Authorization for Use of Military Force of 2001, because it gave presidents a “blank check†for overseas entanglements and created an out of control national security establishment.
“Then we have a president like Trump and [the national security apparatus] are completely able to turn and back-stab him†to keep our troops overseas, in defiance of the will of the people.
“We need to have Congress hold the Department of Defense accountable to the American people,†Kent said.
