There are few words as synonymous with America as the word dream. We have always been a nation of dreamers. For 200 years, immigrants from every continent have flooded Ellis Island to make their way in the new world. They looked to the Statue of Liberty as a beacon of hope and freedom. They came with nothing, because they knew in America, they could gain everything. Â
And we did. We built railroads, bridges, combustible engines, and implemented the assembly line. We invented electricity, the telephone, and the internet. We turned water into steam, brought moving pictures inside homes, and allowed our dreams to take us soaring into the clouds, literally.
Yet despite American innovation, American ingenuity, and the American dream, in the last decade, China surpassed America as the wealthiest country in the world. While our housing market tanked, China grew richer off interest from American debt. While DC locked down, forcing businesses to close and destroying jobs, China’s GDP grew. Under Biden’s presidency we, the American people, are scraping by with shortages, inflation, and mandates.
Right now, special interests in DC want to send 40 billion American tax dollars to Ukraine, while our children here in America are faced with the reality of going hungry night after night. Politicians want to keep our oil in the ground and the pipeline shut down, blocking American jobs and wealth. DC wants to ignore inflation, skyrocketing gas prices, and voter fraud.
Across the street from where you sit right now, there is a father sitting in his truck at the gas pump wondering how he’s going to pay to get to work tomorrow. Next door, there is a mother trying to stretch her Hamburger Helper to feed her kids, knowing there isn’t enough to keep them from crying for more. This is the reality of America in 2022 where there is no baby formula on the shelf for infants and babies because DC values special interests and war and profit over the lives of you and me.
Is America a country where the government determines who gets to live the American dream?
No.
We live in America. Not a dystopian dictatorship where the government decides what businesses matter, which ones can stay open, and who is an essential worker. We live in America where our wealth comes from hard–working, industrious people with dreams bigger than skyscrapers and ideas inspired by the stars.
We are made in America. We build, we grow, we innovate. We don’t hide or cower, or shrink when life gets hard and the going gets tough. We stand up and we fight for all that matters. We find answers and solutions. We are the American dream.
I’m living proof of that dream. For years I sold insurance, cold–calling families and pushing papers. Then a friend, a friend living the American dream, decided to take a chance on me. I built a successful and thriving home construction company employing hundreds of hard–working Americans with a desire to support their families and build a future for their children. With that success, I have joined ventures with the community and supported other businesses and helped many more hard–working Americans fulfill their dream of entrepreneurship.
I live the American dream every day, and I believe it is alive and well. All we have to do as Americans is go back to the principles that made America great and get Washington politicians out of the way.
I’m Kyle LaBrue, an America-first Congressional candidate for Missouri’s 4th District, and I believe in the American dream. A dream that isn’t just about growing individual wealth, but about building communities, supporting our friends and neighbors, and spreading prosperity to everyone.
Here are three ideas we can pursue right now to stimulate our economy and build the American dream.
My American dream didn’t start with me. It started with the people before me who envisioned these dreams before this country was founded. It started with brave men and women who stood up to bad government and threw tea into the Boston Harbor. Our ancestors first built these dreams and created this great nation that allows you and me, and our rising generation to follow our hopes and ambitions.
I refuse to allow radical leftists and liberals say this isn’t the greatest country in the world. There is no place for American apologists in America. This is the greatest country in the world.
Kyle LaBrue is running for U.S. Congress to represent Missouri’s Fourth District, specifically to put American interests before globalist and special interests, to hold those who have defiled America accountable, and to curb inflation and out-of-control government spending that is directly affecting the livelihoods of the people of Middle Missouri.
